Take required quantity of gum powder for preparation of stock paste and add slowly under vigorous stirring using high speed stirrer in to cold water in 30 to 40 minutes. Care should be taken to avoid formation of lumps. For Complete swelling of gum particles keep stock paste over night before use.
OR
Take required quantity of gum powder for preparation of stock paste and add slowly under vigorous stirring using high speed stirrer in to cold water in 15 to 20 minutes. Cook the gum paste foe 5 to 6 hours for better swelling gum particles. Cool it overnight before use.
